Terms of Business

Definitions


“Guarantee” – See Section 8
“Improvements” – See Section 7
“Payment” – See Section 9
“Repair(s)” – See Section 6
“Service” – The work carried out to provide Repair(s)

Unless otherwise clearly indicated, references to any gender include all genders, and singular includes plural and vice versa.

The contract to carry out work detailed in an estimate is between the Customer and SAR Group Ltd, its Subsidiaries, and Associated Companies.

No term herein is enforceable by a third party (per the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999).

1. Estimates


Any estimate provided prior to inspection is indicative only and subject to revision. Following vehicle inspection, a written Estimate (or revised Estimate) will be provided via email or post. The Customer’s agreement to proceed constitutes acceptance and forms a
binding legal contract incorporating these Terms of Business.

Estimates are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise agreed in writing.

2. Booking Date


The Booking Date is the date SAR Group Ltd, its Subsidiaries, and Associated Companies confirms arrangements (cost, date, time, and location) for work indicated on the Estimate.

3. Cancellation Rights


You may cancel the contract by delivering or emailing written notice to the contact on the estimate within 14 days of the Booking Date.

Cancellation is effective upon sending completion and submission of our cancellation form.. An example form is provided in Schedule 1 below.

4. Work Starting Before End of Cancellation Period


If you authorise work to begin within 14 days of the Booking Date:

·       You may still cancel but must pay for services rendered up to cancellation.

·       If the repair is completed within this period, the cancellation right is lost, and full payment is required.

5. ADAS Re-calibration


If your vehicle has an Advanced Driver-Assistance System (ADAS):

·       We will notify you at the Estimate stage if your vehicle may be equipped with ADAS.

·       SAR Group Ltd, its Subsidiaries, and Associated Companies do not perform ADAS

re-calibrations.

·       You must arrange this with your dealership or a third party. It is your responsibility and cost.

6. Repair Location


Repairs will occur at our-approved location or at a SAR Group Ltd-nominated site.

·       SAR Group Ltd, its Subsidiaries, and Associated Companies will assess the safety/suitability of the location.

·       Repairs may be relocated due to weather, lighting, or safety.

·       Vehicle removal/return for this reason is free of charge.

·       SAR Group Ltd, its Subsidiaries, and Associated Companies are not liable for any costs or inconvenience caused by rescheduling.

7. Repairs


SAR Group Ltd its, Subsidiaries, and Associated Companies will perform repairs as per the Estimate.

·       If further work is required that increases the cost, customer approval will be obtained before proceeding.

·       If approval is denied, SAR Group Ltd, its Subsidiaries, and Associated Companies may stop the repair, and the full Estimate price remains payable.

·       Work not increasing the price may proceed without approval.

Important Notes

·       Repairs will not be identical to factory finishes.

·       SAR Group Ltd, its Subsidiaries, and Associated Companies provides a good quality, hand-completed aftermarket repair, not a “like-new” factory finish.

·       Colour matching and finish may be approximate due to third-party limitations.

·       Customers must notify SAR Group Ltd, its Subsidiaries, and Associated Companies of any non-original finishes (previous repairs or resprays).

·       SAR Group Ltd, its Subsidiaries, and Associated Companies may void the contract if incompatibility arises with non-original finishes, regardless of customer awareness.

8. Improvements


Stone chips, touch-ins, or other items marked as “Improvements” in the Estimate are not classified as Repairs.

These will not be undetectable, and their effectiveness is not guaranteed.

9. Guarantee


SAR Group Ltd, its Subsidiaries, and Associated Companies, guarantees the formulation and application of repairs for the current owner of the vehicle.

Conditions

·       Proof of work (invoice/receipt) is required to make a claim.

·       The guarantee is not transferable.

·       Alloy wheel repairs are guaranteed for six months, unless otherwise stated.

·       Maximum liability is limited to the value shown on the Estimate or Invoice.

Guarantee Exclusions

No guarantee applies to:

i.                Corrosion or rust
Previous aftermarket repair failures

ii.              Further accidents/impacts (e.g., stone chipping)

iii.             Improper aftercare (e.g., washing within 3 days, acidic cleaners)

Claim Procedure

·       Repairs will be reviewed by the original specialist.

·       If they cannot re-perform the service, SAR Group Ltd, its Subsidiaries, and Associated Companies may offer a partial or full price reduction.

ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution)

Claims may be referred to the BVRLA for review under ADR regulations if:

i.       The claim has not been settled

ii.     The claim falls within the rules

iii.    The claim is submitted within six months of a final decision

iv.    The claim is not vexatious or frivolous

10. Payment


Unless agreed otherwise, full payment is due upon completion of repairs.

Accepted payment methods: cash, cheque, debit/credit card (excluding American Express), or other agreed method.

Refunds will be made using the original payment method.
